Christie Lyman Dowling is an attorney and mediator with two decades of experience. She earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and earned her law degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. As a thoughtful Birmingham divorce attorney, she is caring and compassionate with the experience to handle even the most complex family and financial issues.

She is extensively trained in conflict resolution with over 120 hours of training qualified as a Parenting Coordinator, Parenting Facilitator, Guardian ad litem, Divorce Mediator (Domestic Violence trained) and Collaborative Attorney. Ms. Lyman Dowling has practiced exclusively as a family law attorney in local courts for nearly a decade.  She is a founding board member of the Birmingham Collaborative Alliance.

She is also a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association where she is a Board Member of the Women Lawyers' Section. Ms. Lyman Dowling is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Alabama, Georgia and Virginia.
